Amira Khalile

Curriculum Coordinator

I am a distinguished teacher and curriculum leader with over 17 years of international teaching experience in Africa, the Middle East, and North America. I hold a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction (ESOL) from the University of Florida and I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction, with a focus on curriculum and teacher development, at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

My expertise include English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction, curriculum design, differentiated instruction, and teacher professional development. I served as an English Coordinator, 4–12 teacher, and higher education faculty member, and my career reflects a deep commitment to culturally responsive, inclusive, and student-centered learning environments.

I am an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Santa Fe College and an instructor for the Brazilian Teachers Professional Development Program at UNC Charlotte’s Office of Intercultural and Educational Experiences. My work is guided by the belief that empowering teachers with effective strategies directly transforms student success.
